The prize distribution was held in Brussels in the Department of Education of the Flemish Community 10 May 2006.
The motivation for the jury awarded the first prize in our project:
"We notice that the blog, podcast, forum ... walk like clockwork. It is clear that students have acquired a taste for this very active contact partners.
Furthermore, ICT tools are used in a very appropriate and give value to this project.
It uses the French language as a real means of communication. Students learning French because they want to communicate with their colleagues in Portugal, not because they must do their teacher.
is a project that has grown tremendously this year and it proves that we can introduce ICT-step in a project.
In addition, the project will inspire other projects in school. "

held during the Austrian presidency of the European Union's first annual international conference eTwinning held in Linz / Austria from 13 to 15 January 2006. The objective of the annual eTwinning conference was the announcement and recognition of outstanding eTwinning associations between European schools. This was done in two ways: firstly the EU's annual awards ceremony was held, highlighting and rewarding the best eTwinning projects taking place throughout Europe. On the other hand, an exhibition was organized with a platform through which each country had eTwinning projects in the country, to say cest successful models of twinning. This conference was a unique opportunity for teachers as well as other major players in the education sector to meet the experts and take care of eTwinning workshops addressing the eTwinning concept. The workshops have contributed substantially to the transfer of innovative ideas for uses of TICEs to school and have stimulated discussion on educational issues.
